Royals Lock Up Salvador Perez For Five Years
The Royals have signed Salvador Perez to a deal that will keep him under contract for the next five years and perhaps until the 2019 season.
The catcher's five-year contract runs through 2016 with club options for each of the following three seasons.
The deal guarantees Perez $7 million, but could be worth $26.75 million for the full eight years if all the options are exercised.
The 21-year-old will receive a guaranteed $750,000 for this year, $1 million for 2013, $1.5 million for 2014, $1.75 million for 2015 and $2 million for 2016.
Reds Sign Marshall To Three-Year Contract
The Reds have agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension with Sean Marshall.
The left-handed reliever could become the team's closer down the road.
Cincinnati traded three players to the Cubs to acquire Marshall back in December. He will set the table for the newly-acquired Ryan Madson this season.
Nationals, Zimmerman Agree To $100M Extension
The Nationals and Ryan Zimmerman have agreed to a six-year, $100 million contract extension, according to sources.
The third baseman also received a full no-trade clause in the deal.
Zimmerman will earn an average of $16.7 million over the course of his contract, second only to the $27.5 million Alex Rodriguez earns in New York among third baseman.
His current contract was set to expire after the 2013 season and he had set a deadline of this weekend to complete a deal.
Zimmerman, who is due to earn $26 million over the next two seasons of his current contract, could potentially earn $150 million if a seventh-year option for 2020 is picked up, the sources said.
Isringhausen Signs Minor League Deal With Angels
The Angels added some depth to their bullpen Wednesday by agreeing to a minor league deal with reliever Jason Isringhausen.
Isringhausen, 39, was 3-3 with a 4.05 ERA and seven saves in 53 games for the Mets last season

Ibanez can make up to $4 million with the incentives.

Manny Agrees To Join A's
Manny Ramirez told ESPN's Pedro Gomez on Monday that he has agreed to a deal with the Athletics.
Sources tell Gomez the deal is worth about $500,000. Ramirez is obligated to serve a 50-game suspension without pay before beginning play for the A's due to violating baseball's drug policy for the second time. With no rainouts, the first game Ramirez would be eligible to play is on his 40th birthday -- May 30 at Minnesota.
Phillies, Kendrick Reach Two-Year Deal
The Phillies have agreed to a two-year, $7.5 million contract with Kyle Kendrick.
Kendrick, 27, went 8-6 with a 3.22 ERA in 34 games for the Phillies in 2011.
He is 43-30 for his career, with a 4.41 ERA in 127 games. He has made 98 career starts.
Royals Agree To Deals With Hosmer, Moustakas
The Royals have agreed to terms on contracts with young studs Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas.
Lorenzo Cain and Luis Mendoza also received new deals on Saturday, two days before pitchers and catchers are due to report to Spring Training.
Hosmer will make $502,500 and Moustakas will make $487,250.
All four players have fewer than three years of service time, which means their contracts could be set at the club's discretion.
Orioles, Adam Jones Reach $6.15M Deal
The Orioles have avoided arbitration with Adam Jones by agreeing to a one-year, $6.15 million contract.
Jones made $3.25 million last season, when he hit .280 and set career highs in games (151), doubles (26), homers (25) and RBIs (83).
The center fielder was seeking $7.4 million and Baltimore was offering $5 million.
